Although the crops aren't the same, these two photographs were made at the same location, from almost the same vantage point. The first you've probably seen before, the second I took a few weeks ago.
I wanted to show these two side by side to illustrate how a scene can appear in front of your eyes and have an impact on the photograph you'll end up creating. What you felt when you depressed that shutter button will have an impact on what type of photograph you end up making.
The weather conditions help out too. Without the sun shining through the trees, the scattered clouds in the sky and the calm waters, I couldn't have made the image that was made, but it wouldn't have come out like the second picture.
The inspiration you remember from the scene will be apparent in the photograph you create.
